A Jasper County Tradition
The Miss Jasper County Pageant is held each August in Ridgeland and is open to contestants throughout Jasper County. The winning queens are introduced during the Gopher Hill Festival in October and serve as ambassadors for the festival and the Jasper County community.
The pageant welcomes girls from birth through 21 years of age and boys from birth through 4 years of age. Titles include Baby Miss and Master, Toddler Miss and Master, Wee Miss and Master, Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Young Miss, Teen Miss and Miss Jasper County.
The first runner-up in each applicable division is crowned Miss or Master Gopher Hill, and the second runner-up is crowned Miss or Master Ridgeland.
The purpose of the Miss Jasper County Pageant is to help contestants build self-confidence while recognizing those who make positive contributions to their community. Jasper County queens participate in Gopher Hill Festival events, ride in the Grand Parade and perform other civic duties throughout the county.
The Miss Jasper County Pageant is a nonprofit organization. Contestants are judged by a panel of three qualified judges who are accredited or working toward accreditation through the Miss South Carolina USA pageant system.
Baby - Master - Young Miss Division
Baby Miss/Master (0 -12 months)
Toddler Miss/Master (13 mos - 2 yrs)
Wee Miss/Master (3 - 4 yrs)
Tiny Miss (5 - 7 yrs)
Little Miss (8 - 10 yrs)
Young Miss (11 - 13 yrs)
Must be a resident of Jasper County, attend school in Jasper County, have a parent who went to school in Jasper County or if your parent(s) owns property in Jasper County
The contestant's age must be appropriate with each division. Age as of Gopher Hill Festival Day October 2, 2026.
Teen Miss Division
Must be a resident of Jasper County, attend school in Jasper County, have a parent who went to school in Jasper County or if your parent(s) owns property in Jasper County
The contestant's age must be appropriate with each division. Age as of Gopher Hill Festival Day October 2, 2026.
Contestants must be female, single and between the age of 14 and 16 years old.
Miss Division
Must be a resident of Jasper County, attend school in Jasper County, have a parent who went to school in Jasper County or if your parent(s) owns property in Jasper County
The contestant's age must be appropriate with each division. Age as of Gopher Hill Festival Day October 2, 2026.
Contestants must be female, single and between the age of 17 and 21 years old.
